Got this from [livejournal.com profile] stephen_dedman. The idea is to list five things that make you happy. Here we go...
  1. Pets
Ah, Pegasus, my "gift from the goddess" dog. I was terribly upset back in the later part of 1997, and put a very strong request in for a pet. A week later I was at Minto for Beltaine, and had a strange dream about taming a white Pegasus. A week later friends phoned and asked if I wanted a puppy. I did, and Peggy was the only one that came to his name.

I love Xena and Gabby too, and got my cats a year apart. they act similar to their namesakes - Xena is big and proud and a hunter; Gabby is soft but vocal and funny to watch.

The ducks, for as long as I have them, have been a source of joy and upset. there's nothing like raising ducklings, but there's also nothing like finding dead ducks when you come home, either.
  2. Drawing Comics
Earlier today I found some comics which I drew as a kid, over 40 years ago. Mum had sent them to me a few years ago and I'd stored them away. I may or may not be the best artist out, but there is a pure joy for me in scripting and drawing comics. that's why I bothered with [livejournal.com profile] sadheartsshadow, [livejournal.com profile] thudandblunder and Queer Stuff. Doesn't matter if no one reads them, it's the process that counts.

Last Friday I spent the whole night watching all six hours of a British TV series called The Last Train. While I was doing that, I worked on Sad Heart's Shadow. Obsessed, but I enjoyed this thoroughly.
  3. Letting go...
Sooner or later it seems that anxiety wraps me in a shroud of depression. Bursting out of that can be good. Sometimes I just need that dog walk, film, or whatever. Otherwise I go nuts.
  4. My Creative Stuff
Apart from comics I also do various bits of Art and Writing. Most of the writing's editorial or biographical rather than fiction. Art, whether it's writing, fibre art, video, or whatever, keeps me sane.
  5. Dressing Up
Always loved "dress ups" and dressmaking. I don't do much of the later because I'm terribly slack, but one of the joys of going to a Goth club is in the dressing up, and then letting go and dancing. Once again, it doesn't matter how good I dance, but that I do.

If you still want to, you can come over next saturday arvo/evening and i'll help you dress up for your night out.
If you get a chance this week you can come over and try on the skirt and i'll take it in so it fits you perfectly!
