Bird in the House

OK, a few minutes ago I heard a THUMP from the kitchen, looked around from the PC, saw a streak and heard another THUMP!

There was a bird in my house (see photo)! It nested on top of the curtains. I didn't know what to do, so I woke up Kevin and together we were able to get it out of the house by me keeping the back door open, and closing any nearby doors, and Kevin gently poking at it with a curtain rod.

I can only guess that it flew in via the open window in the laundry. Kevin had opened it during a really hot day, and Xena had even used it twice to come inside, so we left it open. I closed it down to half height now, so hopefully no more birds.

It's either an Indian Minor Bird, or a Kookaburra.
