SL Suicide

I logged in to Second Life this morning to the news that someone I'd met there at the Transgender Resource Center, Diane, had suicided.

I didn't know this person in Real Life, and had only met them once or twice in Second Life. On those occasions I'd tried to talk to her I got no response. I went to the Transgender Suicide Memorial in SL and paid my respects. But this has upset me, deeply.

So many transgendered people die of their own hand - I've almost been there too. I keep thinking that maybe, if I'd said something, maybe.

Its quite sad that people see no other way but death...
If someone is so determined to do the act of suicide, nothing any one can say would change their mind... The pit is just too deep for most :/
