Life after Jenny's

You know, I think that friends are much better than drugs.

Just got back from Jenny's. We watched a few DVDs, like Lantana, Best of the Comedy Company, Tommy and Cats. We chatted, I talked, and she listened. It helps. I relaxed a lot.

Can't get that from drugs. It's the end of the year and I'm frustrated, but at least I can own that.

And there's always tomorrow.

I know that the calendar is meaningless, blah blah - but a new year feels to me, like you've written something on a pad of paper you didn't like, ripped it off and thrown it away, and you're starting again on a fresh sheet. you're not a better writer than you were on the old sheet - but a new one brings so many possibilities!

(The metaphor stems from the fact that I write alot of poetry!)

I write better after two or three drinks.

More than that, well I think I'm writing better, but the next day I can't decipher the scrawl.
