Newcastle Uni re-opens again today, after a close-down for the Xmas break.

If all goes well, NUSA will be open again as well, and I will be able to contact my Supervisor as well. They finally had the builders in when I was last there, so maybe the Shortland Building's been fixed as well.

It's still not fixed after the fire?

Doesn't suprise me...my old high school burnt down in June 2004 and rebuilding hasn't even started (Damn safe Labor seats!)

I must say, it was a bit weirds having school and the uni both burn within a couple months of each other...

I haven't...

...got down to that end to check yet, but my bet would be NO.

I was wondering what degree you done at University a while back?
Was it Bachelor of Fine arts or Visual arts - Or am I just thinking of someone else :/
It's slipped my mind nonetheless, but if it was visual arts would you say it's good? I was just thinking of maybe returning to Uni next year and I wanted a change ((Still art, but perhaps not Fine Arts)).

I have a Bachelor's in Visual Arts. The changed the name of the degree mid-course to "Fine Arts", but gave us a choice what we wanted to use. I chose Visual Arts, as I felt it was more accurate.

There's been a few changes in staffing since then, and the VSU may make things tough. As I'm doing my Honours now, I'm not that affected, but it'd be worth while checking everything out first.

Thanks for that :)
I hope they offer something a bit better than Fine Arts because technically I have already done the work ((at TAFE)). I was just repeating exercises I had already done in the Advanced Diploma, and it just got so boring.
I would like to get the degree though. Quitting has made me want it more because I hate 'unfinished business'.

Yeah, when I went to uni after TAFE, I hated having to do law.

What with HSC legal studies and law at TAFE, it was the THIRD time I'd had to cover the damn stuff!!!
