Fearless

Watched a film on DVD just now, starring Jeff Bridges called Fearless (directed by Peter Weir).

It's about a man who ought to have died in a plane crash but didn't. Despite being a deliberately drawn out film and one that could have been a TV film of the week, when the credit rolled, it had an effect on me. Same as the poster below.

The previous Sunday I went to what I thought was a Queer Collective picnic. Turned out I got the times wrong, and what I turned up to was a "positive sex workshop". I wasn't exactly in the right frame of mind for that, but decided to do it any way.

Survivors are so strong

One of the exercises was to pick an photo or image that appealed to oneself. The one above drew me to it. But what it says, well that's just not true. It's not strength that makes one survive, nor survival that makes one strong. It just happens, until one day, it doesn't.

Been crying at least once every day since the 30th, and today was no exception.
