Linux Frustrations

The copy of SUSE 11.0 I had has problems, with checksum errors, so I can't immediately install it. While at Glendale today I came across not one but two magazines with Ubuntu 8.2 distros on them, so I bought one and will try it (I'll leave space for SUSE for later).
We'll see how far I get.

Date: 2009-03-03 08:21 pm (UTC)i don't know much about suse. it seems to me one of the failings of linux is that there are too many different distros, and so the programming talent is spread thinly over all of them - with the minute differences between them being negligible to 95% of people. i guess that's open source for you.
