Vampire Princess Miyu

laura_seabrookI just finished watching the series Vampire Princess Miyu on DVD. It was a six volume set, and the order I saw them in was volumes: 3, 4, 2, 5, 1 and 6. Overall that didn't matter, though I found the events in the last three episodes "shocking" and if I'd seen those out of order it might have spoiled some of the fun.
I liked the atmosphere of this anime -- it reeked of slow menace and terror, rather than of gore and blood (though there was heaps of that too). Apparently there are also several films, though I haven't been able to track those down in any library system yet (pay money when I can get it via a library?).
