When I was doing work placement in a local library a few weeks ago, I was suprised to discover that I personally knew the authors of some of them! Namely:
Steve Dedman

I knew Steve back in Perth as we were both involved in local SF fandom.
The book of his I found was Shadow's Bite, which some claim is like a cross between Buffy and Kung Fu. Looking at the blurb on the back, I saw that this was book two of series, so I haven't read it yet (they don't have book one in the
library system, do they?).

Sue Isle
Sue, I also know from Perth, though she always seemed more into Media fandom (like Trek) and had a passion for Wolves. It was not so unexpected then, when I found myself putting Wolf children : the real feral kids : an extraordinary story on the shelf in the Juvenile section (Steve's was in the Adult section).
It's good to see folk I know getting published!

Also keep an eye out for Dave Luckett's books. Probably in the young adult section but I like all the ones I have read.
