Rego Blues (maybe this time they're green)

Every year I have a big panic with re-registering the Rauni (my car). I'm not that cluey with cars, and I dread everything that has to be fixed and paid for on them. Last year it cost me $300+ just to fix a headlight! Gasp.

Anyway, I just got back from the Mechanics I go to for rego checks (there's no way I go to the same one that works on the Rauni). She didn't pass, but I only have the following wrong with her:

• One high beem light not working (already fixed at the auto-electricians next door for $20)


• A missing LPG tank cover ($3 tops)


• A bent back bumber bar that needs to be bent back, so as not to be "protruding"

...and that's it! Whew. This time around, it might not cost me an arm and a leg to fix her. Yay!

Once I do that, I only have to find teh $400 for the "green slip" (insurance).
