Two upsets
Dec. 29th, 2004 10:40 pmI felt so sad seeing and hearing about the deaths in Phuket after that tidal wave. Thing is, I've been to Phuket, back in 2000, and walked (and ate, and shopped) at Patong beach.
For me, the trip was wonderful, but for those people all dead, it was than wonderful this time around. I wonder if there's some Aussie girls at the International Hospital, stuck there while this is happening. I know I saw pictures of the foyer, with people and bodies lying everywhere.
I'd send some money to help, but I don't have any just now, save for $10 that must last until next week.
Allan Dunning
My mum says that he isn't, but he could have been a cousin of mine. Dunning is my father's family name, and there are relatives over in teh Canberra area.
Last week the papers had nothing but his being killed in the Solomons and the state funeral he had on retrurn.
Well, that's one way to go out.
