Actually, a few things.

I'm on progress with stuff for the photo-shoot. I uploaded over 50 animations/poses to Second Life today, which will be used to pose the characters for the photo shoot. I corrected an air conditioning prop and dressed the Jenn character as well (next post);
I have discovered that my confirmation will be on the week of the 14th-18th of May. This means I have time to get stuff done (If I can't get it done by then I ought to give up); and
I have made progress in winding down my Facebook account. I was able to create an account for Elsie Broek (a fictional character after all) and She is now administrator on the pages I didn't want to lose - primarily the Laura Seabrook (Artist) page, and the Transgender Day of Remembrance Webcomic Project page. The last one makes sense because Elsie owns that group in Second Life anyway. The thing is, I don't have to have my current Facebook account active to keep either going. I may be continuing to play scrabble and variants as Elsie, but that's because it is the one app in Facebook that I do not want to lose.

I feel much more relaxed and creative today. I have posted a few links to Facebook (and set up Elsie's profile) but rather than suck the living shit out of me, I felt liberated. It seems fitting to interact with social media using a virtual me.

After the domestic changes recently, I thought it was time for a bit of a change in Second Life as well. Elsie (my prime avatar) did some retail therapy and got a gothic outfit. Comparison (with how she usualy looks) below:

I know it sounds really strange, but the make-over really cheered me up! I think it helped to have Elsie's friend Byrne there to go shopping with:

Second Life is a funny place - you get out of it what you put in, but sometimes you get a bit extra as well.

It had been a hot and sticky, and hard to bear day in First Life. One saving thing was spending time as Elsie with Byrne on hobo island, just chatting and exploring (we got lost in a mine shaft).

I decided to take a snapshot, and look how Elsie looks (not pre-planned)!
