Laura Seabrook's Ramblings

Kevin is visiting a friend in Kurri tomorrow, and asked my advice on the best route to ride his electric bike. I gave it - which was via old Minmi Rd and Black Hill Rd - but he's considering going via George Booth Drive.

OK, but this is directly through the local ranges which is quite steep. Then I found on Google maps a mine that wasn't there when I walked Pegasus around the area about 18 months ago!

Bloody hell - it's right on the power line route. I thought this area was a national or state park - guess I was wrong. I used to walk Pegasus all through the area while the car still ran, mostly around the old railway line. I wonder what they're mining? Doesn't look like coal (actually, there's the remains of an old quarry nearby here, complete with rusted out truck).

I miss walking my dog down these tracks. Sigh.
