Queer Stuff Vol 1 Complete
Jun. 3rd, 2007 06:42 pmWith the conversion and uploading of the Self Esteem instalment, I've completed my recasting of Laura Seabrook's Queer Stuff, Vol 1.
Wasn't exactly sure what category to put this in Web Comics Nation so I chose Non Fiction, but it could perhaps have gone into Other, as both are technically correct. All I have to do now is catch up with two pages for Tales of the Galli and I'll be happy.
Web Comic Updates
Mar. 22nd, 2007 12:18 pmHurray - finally updated Seabrook's Web Comic Serials and Queer Stuff!
Coming Out Advice
Jul. 14th, 2006 04:15 pmI just added a "Coming Out" Section to Queer Stuff.
It includes downloadable MS Word/Open Office versions of the document I used for my workshop(s) on the same topic, web page versions of the same, and links to online resources.
I've done this because I keep seeing queries about how to come out, so maybe one more online resource about it might help.
Gender X Genre
Oct. 7th, 2005 11:39 amI've been preparing for Gender X Genre tonight. This is a Rainbow Visions Festival event, and starts at 8pm tonight at the Royal Exchange on Bolton St, in the Newcastle CBD. Tickets are $10 waged / $5 concession.
So what is this? Well it's a poetry / prose reading by folk like myself. I'll be reading some of my poetry, and projecting and reading from some of my comics (excerpts from Hypergraphia 3 and Queer Stuff Vol. 1). I've been preparing for this all morning. Soon, I'll go to the uni and print out some of the stuff, so that other people can read from it, and also print Transitions, a collection of my poetry. If I'm lucky, people might buy my comics and the poetry collection.
But I'm also nervous as shit. I haven't been able to relax much today and I've felt on the verge of panic attack / collapse all morning. Just nerves, I guess. Thing is, I won't be coming home until it's all over, so I also need to leave food for the pets.
Wish me luck!?
