Yeah, yeah, sure Ted...
....I'm sure I have zero uniqueness (though the 9% herd like is probably correct)!

So, laura_seabrook, your LiveJournal reveals...

Countdown

Apart from waiting for phone calls, I'm also waiting for the Comikaze 24hr Comic Challenge '07 to start.

Details (again) as as follows:

THE CHALLENGE
The challenge occurs over the weekend but you must stop 24 hours after you start. So if you start at 11am on Saturday morning you must finish by 11am on Sunday.

You can start any time you wish within the challenge period (11am Saturday until 11pm Monday), but whenever you start you have 24 hours from that moment to finish. (You must start your forum thread when you start the challenge so your progress and time can be tracked.)

So, just to be clear (or belabour the point hehe): People can start whenever they like during the weekend, but they must stop 24 hours later or by 11pm Monday night.

Last year I started as early as I could, however there was only me and Peggy here back then (the cats come and go as they please). Now there's Kevin and Hallie, though Kevin often sleeps in until 11am.

So, when to start? I think that maybe Saturday or Sunday morning would be best, but then again it's also going to be when I end. Do I really want start to "crash" at 6 in the morning, when all the pets (except Hallie, who is still asleep in Kevin's room that time of day) want to be fed?

Hmmm.

The other thing I should do is a couple of web comic pages in advance either today or tomorrow. That way I can just upload them and forget about it until later. Or at least I would, if Comics Genesis were running properly (this page ought to showing the comic for the 5th June by now)!

I was clicking through NextButton when I found a reference to a Design and Game Compliance Tester. I don't live in Brisbane, but Golly!

Actually, I notice they also have a job for a Game Software Engineer C/C++. Not that I'm good at that, but maybe someone on my friend's list is...

Wet Ol' Day

Well, what a wet old day it's been.

I was going to walk Peggy, and maybe either visit Jenn or go op-shopping with Kevin at Wallsend. However, it's just too wet for any of that, especially when the bus stop is at least 500 metres away. Peggy didn't seem to disappointed this morning not to have a walk, and we kicked a ball around in the wet instead. I enjoy this sort of weather, but this year around I don't have a car to stay mostly dry.

Spent most of the day cleaning up my entries at the Comic Genesis Wiki and the Comixpedia. Everything looks up to date now (and can I get obsessive about data verification). I also reviewed a number of entries at the Comixpedia that had "variant categories" (like Category:Parody comic instead of Category:Parody/satire) and brought them into line with the majority. Sounds pedantic, I know, but it a page has the wrong category(s) on it, it wont get found with the rest of the pages. Sheesh, if I could get employed checking wikis, I'd probably be quite happy.

I've been working on some web comics too. Almost one page drawn, and I need to to two more to finish part 1 of Tales of the Galli.

I will have to go out either tomorrow or Saturday for a pet food run (5 x 1.2 kg tins of dog food + 10 x 400g tins of cat food + dry stuff). Maybe I'll skip the rains (done that before).

Oh, and no phone call yet - maybe tomorrow?
