Woke up an hour ago with Bobby throwing up a hairball next to me, after a long sleep. 24 Hour Comic Day , which I got back from earlier, was great!

Didn't get much sleep Friday night. Barely caught the bus in the morning but everything else ran smoothly. There were about 6-8 of us at Twenty10 and I was only one of two people to get 24 pages down within the 24 hours. It was a really good event for my birthday. Chatting with others, or listening/watching films on the big screen projector (they played Serenity / Last Unicorn / Howl's Moving Castle / Aeon Flux and others) helped me stay awake. At one point I was going to crash after 16 pages but after changing in PJs and a 5 minute nap I was OK, and continued until morning.

Don't have the artwork yet - everyone's is being scanned in and hosted somewhere, but that'll get sent to me eventually.

The trip home was very long and tedious (being up for 30+ hours didn't help) including an hours wait at Woy Woy station after a goods train broke down at Gosford. Got home, found Kevin & Michelle weren't here (still aren't), fed the pets and crashed about 5pm - slept until 2am but I think I'll be going back to bed.

Was a good day, and I feel ready for my 52nd year. :)

I just gave that advice to an LJ friend who, though I've never met them, admire them and their work greatly. Here's the song that seemed to fit:

HUGS to all my friends who need to, and haven't yet.

Washed out

Feel very very washed out today, but that's to be expected.

Discovered that my electric kettle has died and I must boil water in either a pot or my old tea kettle (just as well I kept it). Tempting to go out and buy a replacement, but I think I'll stay home today and vegetate. I'm off to the G.P. tomorrow anyway (a postponed appointment), so that'd the right time to get one.

Kevin and Michelle aren't here either. Slightly puzzling but I'm making the most of it. :)

OK, here's the most complete one:

Linux gets a bit of short shrift here, but later I found this:

There's also PSP vs DS (compare with hi, im a wii) , a strange Get A Computer, another animated PC vs Mac spoof, 15 funny apple ads,  and Mac Spoof: Gaming (which seems to be part of a series), Novell Linux - Apple Ad Spoof (and Novell Linux, Mac, PC) and finally Mac Vs Windows War. Why Bother.

Seems that a thunder storm's coming in so I'm shutting down everything. Just now I had all the dogs sitting under my feet. What I didn't realise was that Hallie was there because she had Ebony cornered behind my computer desk!

Kevin still isn't home. The last I heard he was going to a party with Michelle up at Maitland on Saturday. Oh well, they've probably just taken a bit of a trip (and not been killed on the roads/ended up in hospital, as my paranoia suspects).

It's nice to have the space. Today I mowed the lawn and did the dishes and it feels good to have done so.
