THE DARK. I was totally cured of that in my late teens by riding a bicycle from Kalamunda to West Midland at 1am, after seeing the film ALIEN.
Nothing happened. Nowadays darkness is my friend.
Fucked if I'd know when kids should start dating.
Only ever had two "proper dates" in my life. On the first we saw the film The Killing Fields and my date crashed the car on the way out of the car park. On the second (over 20 years later) we saw a Cole Porter musical (At long last Love) put on by a local repatory company and I fell asleep watching it. Otherwise, I've just gone out by myself, or with folk I've already been in a relationship with.
I have no expectations of dating. I don't expect it, look for it, or would know what to do if it fell on me.
Last night I kept on waking up and biting my tongue.Very very annoying. I also had odd dreams after watching a late night episode of Buffy.
In the dream I seemed to be en route from Perth Airport (that mysteriously was relocated over the interchange near Parliament house) and encountering problems - I lose the ticket and some of my luggage disappears. I'm also with a bunch of folk I know from Swancons and W.A. fandom, although I'm unable to identify any of them. At one point however we all travel through a warehouse cloakroom that seems to be full of gear owned by Stephen Gunnell (though he's not there) and everyone's laughing at me because I can't find the exit.
Not a dream I'd want to repeat.
By the time you read this I should have placed my application for a leave of absence. What this does effectively is "write off" this semester as it hasn't happened, and I will restart from the start of next semester. I haven't had my act together at all this semester, so this will give me the opportunity to find that missing QUESTION, and start again.
I know that I need to go away for a break as well, most probably to see Carol and Susan, and Tracey and Scott next month. We'll see.
