G.P. and sleep
Aug. 18th, 2012 12:31 pmSaw my G.P. He thinks that the pain in my knee is only inflammation, and I have packets of IBProfen now to help reduce that. Wss going to ask him about the lurgi I have but he got a phone call and said that he had it as well to whoever it was calling! The symptoms are:
- clogged head;
- mucus film at back of the throat;
- queasy stomach (especially on buses); and
- a cough (though I don't have much of that); and
- lack of energy.
No cure and taking antibiotics would be pointless. Just rest and recover. Also with the knee, try not to upset it until it heals. Hmmm. Was more or less OK walking Bobby this morning, but we stayed on the streets and didn't cut through the bush. Still sore though, all the time. And last night my sleeping was all over the place. I fell asleep while watching Dr Who and woke up just after it'd finished (about 8:20pm). But I couldn't keep my eyes open so I went to bed. And then woke up just after midnight, and couldn't get to sleep until 3am. Crazy dreams about cybermen heads. Had trouble breathing unless propped up or way on my side.
Bit of a worry yesterday when I went shopping after seeing my G.P. I'd rushed for the bus and wore thongs, but had thrown my walking shoes into my shopping trolley as well, for later. My G.P. made a comment that the thongs (flip-flops for non-Aussies) weren't the best things for me to walk in so I changed into the shoes. They are good for short walks but it might have been a mistake.
Went off and had lunch which was a an Indian curry thing and got a "movie deal" with it - a general ticket to any Reading Cinema before August 2013. I had thought that I might see Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, but as the afternoon wore on I was feeling sicker and sicker. I think the shoes had something to do with it - my feet felt over-warm and "pins & needley". In Coles I just lost focus and concentration several times and in Woolies I was not much better. Felt exhausted by the time I got home. No wonder I slept soundly (at first).
But - it's a bit of a worry wandering around only half knowing what I was doing, especially spending money.
