Confusing day

laura_seabrookNothing quite turned out the way I expected, today.
Went to 2nd Life Bookshop to do Tarot readings, but had a very strong feeling that I'd do none today - I was right. Went to the bank to check on my student loan and there was no sign of it. Without the $350 there's no way I can afford the 3rd party insurance for my car. I left after an early lunch.
Before I did though, I had to make some other changes too. Due to economic hardship, Liz has had to re-structure how she uses the room, and will charge a "day rate" from the new year (with payment up front). That being the case, I'm going to swap to Thursday to do readings on, and increase my rates to $30 (currently $20). I put the following advert in tomorrow's Herald:
Anyway, I got to the uni and queried the payment. their records showed that it'd been sent, but the bank records showed that it hadn't been received. After a long check, it transpired that a digit had been dropped in the initial payment, and it'd bounced. Sigh. I went to Jenn's and waited for confirmation. I was dead tired and slept for a bit. Then they phoned and it was OK.
I'm having the new rack put in tomorrow. If all goes well I'll take the car in, get the pink slip and get her registered on Thursday. I already have a reading booked for that day (they came in to the shop just after I decided to change) so that'll be a busy day too.
