I just spent a while reading over 150 pages of To Save Her by Jennifer Diane Reitz (another story in her "Jenniverse"). The story's not finished yet, but I brought myself up to date, and there's less than 20 pages to go (they just haven't been drawn yet).

Anyway, nothing gives a really great buzz like ready a whole chunk of good web comics all in a row. I got that when I first discovered Venus Envy (and Erin Lindsey is drawing those again at long last!), Minus and Girl Genius - and I get it with this too. I've decided to do two things:

  1. create a bunch of Jenniverse avatars in second life (if I can do Daria, I can do Pastel Defender Heliotrope, Chou or Kaye Haychold, I'm sure); and
  2. more importantly - I must get back to drawing my own web comic regularly again!

It's been six weeks of not doing pages, with no good reason or excuse, other than a but of constipation with the plot. That never stopped me before. I don't care if I still have bloody bronchitis (though I feel much better), it's time to get back on the drawing table and have fun with it.

There's an amazing quality to her stories. :)
