Do Not Eat
Sep. 29th, 2008 04:24 pmI went out earlier today and bought some bamboo curtains for the front of the house. Packaged with it was a zip-lock bag containing screws and hooks to hang it from. What got me however, was that fact that the back had "DO NOT EAT" marked clearly on it (see right).
Who's the warning for? Children young enough to chew on this aren't likely to be able to read it, and anyone old enough to be able to read it isn't likely to eat them, are they?
Because you didn't ask for it

Linux Question
Feb. 9th, 2008 04:00 pmI had a conversation with someone in Second Life last night and the subject got around to operating systems. I'd mentioned that I'd tried SUSE but that it didn't seem to have the drivers for my peripherals. They suggested I try UBUNTU, and I could get a free CD for it.
Just so happens that I have the December '07 APC magazine DVD on my desk that has SUSE 10.3 and UBUNTU 7.10 distributions on it, which I understand are the latest for each.
Which would you suggest I install (as a dual boot with Windows), and why?
