Feb. 24th, 2009 02:45 amI was just listening to Soma Secret Agent net radio (been working on web comics), and a track called The Ageing Young Rebel by Ken Nordine with DJ Food comes on. Very smooth voice, like dark rich chocolate in a liquor setting, but very subversive - I loved it!
Ken Nordine invented something called Word Jazz and has his own website - nice.
(Actually, I tracked down his Youtube channel as well,
and the odd thing was that related videos were by revstang).
Writer's Block: Dream Job

I had my dream job when I worked in the Australian Bureau of Statistics as a Publishing Assistant back in the early 1990s. I really was happy in that job.
But - the job changed and would have become a telemarketing position; and I was deeply unhappy in my personal life - things changed and that job went. If I was together enough, I would love to be an Publishing Editor working with authors writing short stories and books.
But for now I have other fish to fry, and a "straight job" as such isn't going to work for me, ever again. It'd be so tempting to surrender to the FALSE SLACK dream of being an unthinking wage slave again, but those days are long gone. I have a another destiny which I'm pursuing instead.
Subgenus - Anonymous connection
May. 30th, 2008 01:10 pmOK, I was searching Youtube for videos related to The Church when I found messages from various SubGenii to Anonymous...
...and to Anonymous Subgenius!
And what's Anonymous all about? It seems to be a protest against Scientology, among other things. I find it rather interesting that they've appropriated the V for Vendetta guy fawkes figure.
