I just had a phone call from someone in the NMRA wanting to know if I was putting in a claim over the "accident" the other week, in response to a claim by the other party. They mentioned the other person's name once, but wouldn't give me any other details, only to say that their car was at an NMRA garage for claims assessment.

How can I claim when I don't know the details? They said they'd phone back Monday afternoon and take it from there. Great - just what I need. Now I have to be here Monday afternoon.

This is weirding me out.

I screwed in some sheets of corrugated metal that I had to the run-down picket fence I share with next door - see below (that Peggy to the far right).

I may not be popular with the guy next door for doing this (it's always "don't touch my fence!") but in any case most of the railings at the bottom are starting to rot away. This should keep Peggy from going next door, or getting out, through this route.

Well, I did it. The lounge room is mostly out-of-bounds for a week now.

had a phone call from Carol. After she and Susan did a National Lampoon parody in the latest issue of POX, she sent Bruce McCall a copy. He sent her a nice letter back. Cool!
