Oh, and an NRMA rep called to see if I wanted to renew my road service membership.

After the obligatory "Is a Ms Laura Seabrook there? No, sorry, can I speak to Laura please." (I hate dealing with strangers on the phone) I pointed out that I no longer had a legal car to drive, she said that the call would be "monitored by her supervisor for quality purposes" and asked "if that was OK with me".

I said an definite NO! and that was that, she hung up.

Lol...i was recently thinking: I have this old Mac laptop that has Apple text to speech software on it. (you type stuff into a text editor and then you can get it to speak that text to you)...maybe i can get it to say funny messages to them? :P lol

With the Telstra ones, before putting down the phone i just yelled, out loud, "Telstra SUCKS!"

Just say that you're not the person they want, and then use the synthesiser to speak to them - pretend that that fictional person has a horrible "Stephen Hawkins" type disease.
