Did a comic today about my migraine attack on Friday. Needed to do this - it's the first art I've done since then. Didn't feel so bad doing this either - I mean, right now, I still  have my comprehension.

The earliest I could get was 11:45 am Thursday. Might just stay home 'til then.

In the past week I've been having "episodes" - periods where my ability to read/write text is impaired, I start losing facial recognition, and 3D vision goes partly to 2D. Most of the time it's been after using my computer, and looking at monitor, for any length of time. Like the migraines I had a month ago, when I started seeing a crystalline type rainbow on one part of my vision, I find this really disturbing.

I've also been feeling dizzy off and on and sometimes getting a metallic taste in my mouth. I just don't know what to make of all this. Is it all "just" migraines? What's causing it? There have been a few stress points of late and I was also starting to fall into a depressive trough - is it all just stress? I haven't been able to draw any comics for a week, though I may try drawing something about this problem today (maybe put it in [livejournal.com profile] comicdiaries).

I'm off to see my dietician tomorrow, and am thinking of seeing a new GP. I no longer have a endocrinologist for my HRT and my current one has been substituting for one, for all I know these are all connected. Last night after I went to a Birthday Bash, it was suggested that my being overweight and/or diet may be a contributing cause to this.

Some thoughts please.

. . .

Just had a suggestion made to a comment of mine elsewhere, that it could be either "pressure on the optic nerve or high blood pressure, or maybe optic migraines". Hmmm.

Fatigue

Had some sort of migraine attack last night, similar to the one a few weeks ago. Have been answering a e-mail for most of the morning, and am already fatigued.

I'm going to [livejournal.com profile] _blubloo_'s birthday bash tonight - [livejournal.com profile] zelieq's giving me a lift there. Should be fun, so I might just take things easy until then.

I can already feel the words and syntax slipping out of my mind. Time to get off this, off the net, off the PC. Catch you later when I can read again.

Recovery?

It's the morning after, and I feel a bit better.

Kevin said that what I had was a migraine.  Basically, I felt: dizzy; had like a crescent of rainbow/neon shapes in my left eye (that was still there even when I closed it); a strange metallic taste in my mouth (I felt like throwing up) and my depth perception went all haywire. Had the same thing the day after I took Pegasus for a walk after the storm, and it's been worrying me because a lot of this feels like having an aura before a tonic clonic seizure.

What Kevin did was turn off the the lights in the lounge room. I sat watching anime with a single incandescent light on at the side. The neon lights went and depth perception returned mostly. I also fell asleep on the lounge room sofa. Woke up when Kevin served dinner. Had the most vivid dreams last night - the one I can remember was about me working in a fire brigade!

Right now, I feel head-achy, chest constricted, and still have that taste. Bleaugh - I probably have some sort of lurgi. My chest felt very odd (constricted) yesterday too, and still does.
